Austus^8 Van Vickle (Aaron^7, Evert^6, Evert^5, Frederick^4, Evert^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes), b. 1839, Hancock County, Illinois. (It would appear that Van Vickles are descended from a common ancestor, Evert^5 Van Vickle. Since Aaron's age is not known precisely, it is possible that Aaron is a son of Evert^5, however, it is more likely that he is a grandson. There are several possibilities for Aaron's father among the sons of Evert^5 or perhaps a son of Evert not yet identified. Aaron is placed here tentatively in order to provide a logical beginning location that may be supported or refuted by subsequent research and analysis.)

I found Millard VanVickle Klarman (son of Austis and step-son of C.M.Klarman) working in the Sioux City area from about 1890 to 1914 (city directories), living in Covington, Dakota, Nebraska. On the 1910 census his brother Jacob Klarman is living nearby with his family (wife Orla and kids Hazel, b. Nov. 1893, Belle b. Mar 1897) and their mother Austis Klarman, and sister Katherine. Millard has a wife named Belle b. abt 1865 in PA and a foster daughter, Nellie, age 14, b. 1896, IA. They seem to have had no children of their own. Lester Lewis and Maggie (Klarman) Farrand are living nearby too, with their children Kate, b. Sept 1899, Mable, b. 1901, and Hayes Joseph Farrand, b. 5 Jan 1907.
